From April 3 to 5, 2026, the season opener of the GT World Challenge Asia took place at Sepang International Circuit. Facing extreme heat and demanding track conditions, Winhere Racing Team delivered a resilient performance across both races, overcoming setbacks to secure a key victory. Meanwhile, Winhere’s racing brake discs and pads once again proved their performance on the international GT stage.

In this event, the No. 96 entry (Silver Class), driven by Deng Yi and Liao Qishun, showed strong determination from the outset. In qualifying, both drivers pushed to the limit and secured P3 and P4 starting positions within the Silver class despite intense competition. However, in Race 1, the car was unfortunately involved in an incident at the start, resulting in drivetrain damage and an early retirement.

The team quickly regrouped for Race 2 on Sunday. Liao Qishun delivered a consistent opening stint on used tires, maintaining strong pace and creating a valuable opportunity for the second half of the race. Taking over the car, Deng Yi demonstrated excellent consistency and racecraft, executing multiple overtakes and steadily climbing through the field to stand out in the highly competitive Silver class.

In the end, the No. 96 crew secured an impressive P6 overall finish and claimed the Silver Class victory, completing a remarkable comeback from adversity to triumph.

Notably, Winhere’s racing brake discs and pads performed with outstanding stability under extreme high-temperature conditions, demonstrating exceptional resistance to thermal fade and consistent braking performance. This achievement once again validates Winhere’s fully integrated development cycle—spanning R&D, testing, manufacturing, and real-world motorsport application.
